Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 1.46%.

The best performers of the session on the were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:), which rose 5.57% or 96.00 points to trade at 1,821.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:) added 4.49% or 114.00 points to end at 2,654.00 and Bank Hapoalim (TASE:) was up 4.40% or 129.00 points to 3,059.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TASE:), which fell 1.90% or 720.00 points to trade at 37,200.00 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:) declined 1.58% or 140.00 points to end at 8,705.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:) was down 1.49% or 11.10 points to 734.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 289 to 180 and 24 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.53% or 0.42 to $80.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.22% or 0.19 to hit $86.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.61% or 11.45 to trade at $1,863.05 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.34% to 3.52, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.09% to 3.77.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 103.23.
